About the School

The School admitted its first undergraduate and postgraduate students in 1993 and 2006,respectively.Now,the School has formed ‘1+6’ postgraduate and undergraduate education pattern,where there are one postgraduate programin Computer Science and Technology,and six undergraduate coursesin Computer Science and Technology, Internet of Things Engineering,Data Science and Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Electronic Information Engineering and Communication Engineering.The School adheres to the characteristic development of “Transportation + Information” and has founded the Chongqing key disciplines in Computer Science and Technology,national first-class construction site of Computer Science and Technology,and two first-class subjects in Chongqing,namely,Electronic Information Engineering and Communication Engineering.

We have won two national science and technology progress awards, more than 10 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, more than 20 provincial and ministerial teaching reform research and quality engineering projects, numerous national and provincial teaching achievement awards, and more than 100 provincial and ministerial discipline competition awards for students.

The School has built two provincial and ministerial level research platforms, i.e., Chongqing Big Data Technology for Public Transport Operation Research Center and Engineering Laboratory, where as two university level research platforms have been hounded as well, i.e. Artificial Intelligence Research Institute and Big Data Center for Intelligence Transportation.

At present,we have grown to be a community of ninety-six full time staffs,where seven-five of the mare academic staffs,including fifteen professors, twenty-four associate professors and twenty-four doctors (orpost-doc).Specifically,we have several leading innovation talents intransportation industry and Chongqing. Where as two foreign part-time professors and one over seas Bayu scholar were introduced as well.

Graduates of the School have been widely recognized and praised by the society and employers. The initial employment rate has exceeded 90% for many years. In recent years, some graduates go to famous universities allovertheworld for further study.
