On the afternoon of September 18, 2024, the School of Information Science and Technology held a professional education event for 2024 international students in Computer Science and Technology in Language Building 207. Prof. Jianxi Yang, Dean of the Dean, Associate Professor Li Yicai, Associate Dean, Associate Professor Shixin Jiang, Deputy Director of the Department of Computer Science and Technology, Associate Professor Cao Juan, International Student Class Teacher, and all international students of the Class of 2024 attended the educational event.
Dean Yang Jianxi first extended a warm welcome to the international students and placed high hopes on their professional journey in the next four years. He emphasized that the School expects international students to achieve excellent results in their studies, and hopes that they can become a bridge and link for cultural exchanges between their respective countries and China, and jointly promote the development of information science.
Subsequently, Ms. Cao Juan introduced the basic situation of the major, the teaching staff, graduation requirements, school performance requirements, and attendance requirements in detail, and patiently answered the questions raised by international students in the major.
As one of the first batch of international students majoring in Computer Science and Technology in the School of Information, this professional education marks a solid step forward in the internationalization of the school. It is hoped that the training of international students will be an opportunity to inject new vitality into the international development of the college, create a diversified and international learning environment for international students, and cultivate information technology talents with a global vision.
