From September 20 to 22, 2024, the 2024 National Conference on Knowledge Graph and Semantic Computing and the International Joint Conference on Knowledge Graph (CCKS-IJCKG 2024) was held in Chongqing Chinese.
Professor Yang Jianxi, Dean of the School of Information Science and Engineering, presided over the opening ceremony and extended a warm welcome to the experts, scholars, guests and colleagues from the industry. The theme of this conference is "Knowledge Graph and Large Model", which aims to explore the intersection of these two frontier fields and the innovation opportunities for their integration, explore the role and application of knowledge graph in cross-modal and cross-domain AI tasks, study the development trend of key technologies of knowledge graph such as knowledge representation, knowledge storage, knowledge mining, knowledge fusion, knowledge reasoning, explainability, and ethics in the context of the era of large models, guide the transformation of knowledge graph-related technologies, and lay the foundation for the ultimate realization of general artificial intelligence. The agenda of the conference includes workshops, invited reports, cutting-edge trend forums, industry forums, young scholars forums, evaluations and competitions, paper reports, posters and system presentations. Professor Li Ren, Director of the Institute of Big Data Knowledge Engineering of the School of Information Science and Engineering, attended the conference and presided over the industry forum to explore the application of knowledge graphs and large models in industrial scenarios.
As one of the co-organizers of this conference, by participating in this conference, I promoted the in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the college, especially the Institute of Big Data Knowledge Engineering, and top experts and scholars at home and abroad followed up and understood the latest research progress and development trends in the field of knowledge graph and large model, which played an important role in enhancing the academic influence of the college, promoting the establishment of a wider academic network of the college, and laying the foundation for interdisciplinary research and project cooperation of the school in the future. It is of great significance to the academic development of schools and colleges in the field of knowledge graphs and large models.
